List of more than 50 universities where PhD Admission open.


Hectic activities for PhD admission for the upcoming session, July-August 2018 or Spring Semester are going on. Many IITs, IISERs, Central Universities, Universities have already notified their PhD Admission process. Doctoral Degree aspirants are closely watching these admission developments.
Among IITs, IIT Roorkee, IIT Ropar, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Patna, IIT Gandhinagar  have already notified for next session of 2018-19 PhD Admission.
National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi, the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai,  Gautam Buddha University (UP), Noida  and others have also notified for PhD Admission for July 2018.
Further, many Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER)s have already released PhD Admission notification: IISER Mohali, IISER Tirupati, IISER Kolakata, IISER Thiruvananthapuram, and IISER Berhampur.
CUCET , Central Universities Common Entrance Test,  an all-India test is being organized by ten Central Universities for admission to various Integrated/ Under-graduate, Post-graduate and Research Programmes (MPhil & PhD) in these Universities/Institutes. The Bengaluru Dr. B.R. Ambedkar School of Economics is also a participating Institute (BASE). The notification for CUCET 2018 is out. The online application will commence 19 February 2018. The last date for submission of online application is 26 March 2018 (24:00 hrs.).

Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF), India’s highest PhD Grant fellowship scheme, has invited online applications from eligible candidates. PMRF scheme is aimed at attracting the talent pool of the country to doctoral (PhD) programs of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) for carrying out research in cutting edge science and technology domains, with focus on national priorities. 1000 best students who have completed BTech or Integrated MTech or MSc in Sc. & Tech. streams will be selected after a rigorous process in a year, and offered direct admission in PhD programme in the IITs/IISC.
