AICTE had organized the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) on 20th January 2018, last month across the country for graduates seeking admissions to Management Programmes in over 3500 AICTE approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges.
AICTE announces CMAT 2018 result date: Feb 15
AICTE has announced to release CMAT 2018 Result on February 15, 2018 after 5PM now. Confirming about the CMAT 2018 result declaration date Dr. N.H. Siddalinga Swamy, Director E-Governance, AICTE said 'CMAT 2018 Result Publishing Date is February 15 as announced in CMAT Website.' Earlier CMAT result declaration was deferred till Feb 14. With this continuing delay in CMAT result declaration, AICTE would declare the CMAT result on February 15 instead of earlier February 14, 10 or 4. The CMAT result will be out with CMAT score card, sectional score, overall score, sectional percentile, overall percentile and the place in CMAT merit list. No candidate will be disqualified in the CMAT 2018 merit list.
As per an official notification “Result will be declared on 15-Feb-2018 after 1700hrs”.
AICTE CMAT 2018 Merit List
AICTE will share the CMAT 2018 All India Merit List with candidates’ Roll number, Rank and the Score. The scores are calculated on the basis of +4 for each correct answer, -1 for each wrong answer and 0 for no answer.
If more than one candidate secures same ranking going by the above process, the same Rank is assigned to all of them but is displayed by sorting their names alphabetically. The Rank of the subsequent candidate is then extended by the number of additional students having the same Rank. For example if 3 students are at 25th Rank then subsequent student will be ranked as 28th.
Order of Merit in case of equal total scores
In case scores are same for more than one candidate, the ranking is done on sectional score considered in the order of:
- Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
- Logical Reasoning
- Language Comprehension
- General Awareness
How is CMAT 2018 Rank calculated?
The CMAT All India Rank is calculated on the basis of Total Score.
Percentile is calculated using the formula:
Percentile P = ( (N- your rank)/ N) x 100 (Where P is percentile and N is total number of candidates appeared for exam).
CMAT 2017 Result Analysis & Scoring Trends
CMAT 2017, the 2nd annual CMAT exam was easier than the CMAT 2016 – the 1st Annual CMAT. Accordingly, CMAT 2017 result reflects the higher scoring pattern leading to lower percentile. This year the candidates who have scored higher marks have been able to achieve the same level of percentile that was awarded in last year CMAT.
Process to download CMAT score card
The candidates can download the electronically generated score card with complete details using their login details from (cmat website) from February 9, to March 8 2017. Separate Score Cards will not be sent by email or by post to the candidates.
Candidates who had appeared for the national level entrance examination can check their result and download score card by following the instructions below once the CMAT 2018 Results are declared by All India Council for Technical Education.
How to check AICTE CMAT 2018 Results?
- Step 1 – Visit the official website of CMAT 2018 at aicte-cmat.in
- Step 2 – Click on the ‘AICTE CMAT 2018 Results’ url to check your result
- Step 3 – Login to your profile to download your Score Card
- Step 4 – Download your result and score card, and take a print out for further reference
- Click on Submit.
- Take a printout of the result and save it on your computer.
Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level management entrance test, score of which can be used for seeking admission to MBA, PGDM, Executive PGDM and other management courses offered by AICTE affiliated Colleges/Universities of India. No changes have been to the test pattern. CMAT question papers have 100 objective type questions from 4 sections namely, Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.
